Baseball Fan Eye Drop Fail

USA

During a harmonica version of God Bless America, a Washington Nationals fan picks his moment to use his eye drops. He forgets that he is wearing sunglasses and squirts the drops all over them. He casually removes his shades and uses the drops the proper way.

In a crowd of about 30,000 people, he probably thought his gaffe was missed. But at World Sport Bloopers, we always keeping our eyes open (pun intended!) for sporting comedy like this clip:

Caught On Camera 2

Members of the Bowlers' Union might want to look away now because this week on Caught on Camera we take a look at three video clips that left bowlers red-faced.

Taking Some Tap

Being carted to the boundary in Twenty20 cricket is par for the course these days, but Hobart Hurricanes batsman Travis Birt took things to a whole new level in this Big Bash League clash with Melbourne Stars. Spare a thought for seamer Clint McKay – an Aussie international, no less – who was clattered for 20 runs in one delivery (yes, one delivery!).

Too Good (Start The Dance)

There's nothing a quick bowler hates more than being hammered straight back over his head for a maximum by a tailender, but that's exactly what Indian tearaway Sreesanth did to Andre Nel. And he wasn't done there. Never the calmest chap at the best of times, the South Africa seamer had steam coming out his ears as Sreesanth delivered a celebratory dance that was as baffling as it was beautiful.

Filth From Hilf

And finally this week, here's one from our friends at WorldSportBloopers.com. With the Ashes already relinquished things were going from bad to worse for the Aussie bowlers in Sydney when Ben Hilfenhaus delivered this stinker of a delivery that posed more threat to himself than the batsman at the other end.

Caught On Camera 1

World Sport Bloopers are delighted to announce a partnership with All Out Cricket. Every week we will be bringing you their 'Caught On Camera' post which will focus on funny moments in cricket. Enjoy!

Love it or loathe it, Australia's Channel 9 commentary is a break from the norm when it comes to cricket coverage. In this week's Caught On Camera we take a look at three of the Aussie network's more memorable moments.

Tony's Technophobia
Technology knows no bounds these days, with all manner of devices available to enhance our viewing experience. Some of the pundits catch on quicker than others though, and poor old Tony Greig tied himself in knots as he tried to simulate his desired slip field during the last Ashes.

Lights, Camera, Loss Of Traction...

Here's one from our friends at WorldSportBloopers.com. Channel 9 always like to be as close to the action as possible but this cameraman got a little more than he bargained for as he took a sweeping shot of Australia's slip cordon...

Time To Get Serious
But it's not all fun and games at Channel 9, and back in 1981 Richie Benaud left viewers in little doubt as to what he thought of the infamous underarm incident after Greg Chappell instructed his younger brother Trevor to roll the ball along the ground to prevent New Zealand hitting the six they needed off the final ball to tie the match. Strong words, Richie...

Julio Cesar Goalkeeper Blooper

SPAIN

In a La Liga game between Villarreal and Granada Julio Cesar makes one of the 'greatest' goalkeeper errors of all time. The ball is crossed in and should be a simple claim for Cesar. But he tries to do a diving punch for the cameras and proceeds to claw it into his own goal. Horror show!

Suarez Snubs Evra Handshake

ENGLAND

In case you've just returned from a vacation on Mars, Luis Suarez allegedly shouted racist remarks at Patrice Evra in a recent match between Manchester United and Liverpool. Suarez was found guilty and served an eight match ban. As if scripted, in Suarez's second game back, he went head-to-head with Evra and Manchester in a league meeting at Old Trafford. Before the game, the players lined up to shake hands but when it came to Evra, Suarez completely blanked him causing an aggressive Evra to try and grab Suarez's hand to no avail. There hasn't been this much anticipation for a handshake since....er...a couple of weeks before following another racist incident between John Terry and Anton Ferdinand!

Adriano Under House Arrest To Lose Weight

BRAZIL

The Brazilian club Corinthians are keeping their striker Adriano under house arrest inside the team's hotel in an effort to force him to lose weight.

The club said Adriano, who has been fined several times for missing training, would be put on a strict diet inside the hotel at the team's headquarters, eating only what doctors give him and training three times a day.

The Corinthians fitness trainer Fabio Mahseredjian said the team chose to detain the former Internazionale striker because he has failed to improve his physical condition. He has played rarely since recovering from surgery on his Achilles tendon last year and is in danger of not being included in the squad for the Copa Libertadores.

Mahseredjian said: "In the hotel we have more control over him… He knows we're trying to do the best for him. All of us are dedicated, but it depends on him. Weight loss comes only through diet: you cannot lose weight through physical activity alone."

About World Sport Bloopers

World Sport Bloopers was created following the frustration of using video sites. Many offered videos that were filed under 'funny' or 'humor' but were not specific to sport. It required a lot of searching to find what we wanted. Even when you found the video, it was often edited poorly or inserted in a news segment so it had less impact.

World Sport Bloopers is inspired by UK shows like Fantasy Football (hosted by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner), the eccentric Frenchman Remi Gaillard and US shows like Jackass. We aim to bring you the best bloopers, fails and WTF moments. We hope you enjoy the site!!
