Tottenham Hotspur have just hired an an American football coach. Well, not exactly. Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso the overly patriotic American who thinks that all types of football are the same. So funny and so accurate!

Brek Shea Instagram Fail

"Murica giveth, and ‘Murica taketh away."
Stoke City player Brek Shea is skating on thin ice after posting this excessively patriotic picture on his instagram account. He quickly deleted it but the damage had already been done. World Sport Bloopers are betting that he doesn't last long in England. We're sure Unibet would have odds on this!  You can take Shea out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of Shea! Brek hasn't had much of an impact so far on the English Premier League. He has been out of action due to injury and even if he does come back, it'll be tough to make it into the lineup.

Shea has already been in trouble with Stoke City after pulling a prank where he wore a pig's head in the locker room. Potters’ boss Tony Pulis demanded answers from midfielder Glenn Whelan and striker Kenwyne Jones after the pranks went a little too far at the club’s Clayton Wood training ground. Whelan was accused of leaving a pig’s head among Jones’s clothes in his locker after the forward had changed for training. It turned out by be the American prankster who was behind it.

Shea had worked hard to get back into the good books of Stoke City fans but that all changed with one Instagram photo.The 23-year-old winger unintentionally jumped into the gun debate by publishing a picture of himself brandishing two shotguns. Shea's stars and stripes wife beater outfit only added to the gun-loving image that Brits, and most of the world, have of America. Shea immediately regretted posting the picture and deleted it less than an hour later, followed by a message on Twitter apologizing to "all who were offended by it."

Premier League Preview: It's all about the relegation battle

Arsenal head into their match against Norwich City needing three points to maintain the pressure on Chelsea and Spurs in the top four. The Gunners have lost just three matches at home so far this season and only Manchester United have scored more home goals. Norwich City can move onto 38 points with a win, which they will see as giving them a great chance to effectively preserve their Premier League status for next season. However, they are not the betting favourites with Unibet, as they have won only one away match this season.

A win for Aston Villa at home against Fulham will move them onto 36 points and further away from the bottom three places. They have been in a relegation scrap for most of the season but they have taken points from eight home matches and this could potentially be win number five. Fulham will have their work cut out in a hostile atmosphere which will make it difficult for them to secure away win number four. Only Swansea City in the top ten have scored fewer away goals than Fulham this year.

If Everton beat Queens Park Rangers at Goodison Park then they could go to within a point of Arsenal, if the Gunners slip up against Norwich. Everton have lost just one match at home this season, which emphasises the scale of the task which faces QPR. For QPR, it’s a simple case that they have to do everything they possibly can to win the match. They are locked in the bottom three on 24 points, just one above Reading and many of their supporters may have already given up on any hope of staying in England’s top flight. Reading have a very difficult home match against Liverpool, which could end their season if they lose. Reading have scored just one goal less than Spurs at home but they have conceded 31 goals which has led to six defeats, as they remain rooted to the bottom of the table. The reading doesn’t get any better for Reading fans because Liverpool have the second best away attack in the division. Liverpool are currently seventh and they will be hell bent on not finish below Everton in the Premier League table.

Sunderland have a very difficult away match at Newcastle United on Sunday. Newcastle have taken points from home matches on ten different occasions and have scored the same number of goals at home as Spurs. Sunderland’s away record is appalling with just three wins this season, which Paolo Di Canio will be trying his hardest to improve. A win takes Sunderland onto 34 points which could move them up to as high as 15th place. Stoke are still very much locked in the relegation battle in 15th place on 34 points and they have possibly the worst match possible against runaway league leaders Manchester United. United need to win to maintain the gap between themselves and Manchester City and Sir Alex Ferguson should be very determined to ensure his side don’t slip up, in the same way they did last season.

Arsenal 2012/13 Season Preview

Arsenal’s been without silverware now since 2005. Will Arsene Wenger’s team end another season empty-handed? That won’t be good for Wenger, who desperately needs some trophies soon for the sake of his legacy as longtime manager. Lately, the squad that seems to consistently emerge at Arsenal is one that’s good, but not quite good enough, and creative, but not quite creative enough. 

 The loss of team captain Robin van Persie to Manchester United is a real blow. Despite his much-lamented departure, however, Arsenal looks to be in good shape for the season ahead. With van Persie’s transfer confirmed, the squad can set the drama of his leaving aside and focus on the remaining players. Lukas Podolski (forward), Santi Cazorla (midfielder) and Olivier Giroud (striker) are important new signings, but at least one of them will need to make a quick adjustment to the Premier League and become a fully contributing member of the squad immediately for Arsenal to have a hope of winning the season.

The rest of the squad looks strong as well, all good news for Arsenal. It is hopeful that Alex Song will remain and certainly Theo Walcott is unlikely to go anywhere. All the center-backs remain uninjured, meaning that Thomas Vermaelen, Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are all available and should see plenty of playing time. The central midfield has a good deal of depth. Wenger will have the choice of such players as Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin, Abou Diaby and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. As keeper, Wojciech Szczesny has come under some criticism for his inconsistent performance, but he enters the new season with another year of experience under his belt and still has a great deal of potential.

Van Persie’s bitter description of Arsenal as a club unable to compete with the elite of Europe will still be ringing in Wenger’s ears as the season gets underway. With two years left on his contract, Wenger will want to prove that his players don’t just play stylishly but get the job done. This season, Arsenal must turn its superior possession statistics into goals.

Those in search of Arsenal tickets are sure to see some terrific matches this season as the squad fights for a higher standing and trophies in the wake of these criticisms.

Arsenal under Wenger has never dropped below fourth place in the Premier League and won’t do so this season. While the new signings must perform well early on, many will be looking to Giroud to step into van Persie’s boots, which the striker is unlikely to be able to do.

Unfortunately, finishing in the top four again will probably be the extent of Arsenal’s accomplishments for yet another season. They are also unlikely to make a particular impact in the Champions League. The squad can survive van Persie’s departure, but they won’t rise above it. Despite the clear talent on display, there are too many adjustments to be made. This season will be about pulling together a new squad, not securing Wenger’s legacy.

Paul Merson Crazy Commentary For Man City Winner

Yesterday, Manchester City and Manchester United went into the final game of the English Premier League level on points, separated only by goal difference. Manchester United had won their game at Sunderland and with Manchester United squandering their one goal advantage and allowing the 10-man QPR into a 2-1 lead, their title hopes looked dead and buried. Then, in a similar style to Manchester United teams of previous seasons, City rescued it.

First in the first minute of the 5 minutes of injury time, Dzeko headed in a Silva corner, then with seconds to go, Aguero fired in the winner to send the Etihad stadium into delirium and cap City's first league title in 44 years.
