NEW ZEALAND - Super 14 Rugby - The Chiefs-v-New South Wales Waratahs

Chiefs player Nathan White lands at least three solid punches on Al Baxter for no apparent reason. Unbelievably, he got away with little more than a penalty against his team.

Rugby World Cup Hotel Fail

NEW ZEALAND

A South African couple booked a trip of a lifetime to New Zealand to coincide with the Rugby World Cup. However, there was one small issue: Michael and Sunette Adendorff couldn’t find the bayside Majestic Hotel - or even the street in the Eastbourne suburb of Wellington that it was supposed to be located in. Here’s the hotel they were looking for:

The scenery in England: Eastbourne's pier and beach in England, UK

Convinced they had lost their way, or there was something wrong with the GPS system in their rental car, they wandered into a shop to ask for directions. It was here, the truth dawned on them; the hotel they had booked into online was the Majestic in Eastbourne, UK, not a Majestic in Eastbourne, Wellington.

‘I booked into the right hotel, just in the wrong country,’ Mr Adendorff said.

‘The Kiwis took the p*** out of us because of our silly mistake but it was very nice and they were very friendly,’ he told the Dominion newspaper.

Not realising the Majestic wasn’t in Eastbourne, Wellington, the couple paid for their accommodation in advance for two nights. What was even more amusing was that they admitted being a little puzzled why the payment was in pounds, but went ahead with the booking!

The map shows the distance from UK to New Zealand:

The Famous Underarm Incident

Trevor Chappell (the bowler) helps Australia beat New Zealand in the 1981 World Series Cup. What is unusual is that as a cricket bowler, you are supposed to bowl overam.
Brian McKechnie (the batter) needed to hit a six which would have tied the game for New Zealand. Chappell chooses to bowl underarm so to ensure McKechnie has no just of hitting it out of the ground.

About World Sport Bloopers

World Sport Bloopers was created following the frustration of using video sites. Many offered videos that were filed under 'funny' or 'humor' but were not specific to sport. It required a lot of searching to find what we wanted. Even when you found the video, it was often edited poorly or inserted in a news segment so it had less impact.

World Sport Bloopers is inspired by UK shows like Fantasy Football (hosted by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner), the eccentric Frenchman Remi Gaillard and US shows like Jackass. We aim to bring you the best bloopers, fails and WTF moments. We hope you enjoy the site!!
