South Africa Cricket Team Destroy Aussies

SOUTH AFRICA

In what must be one of the strangest test matches in recent history, South Africa sensationally beat Australia in a remarkable comeback in the first test at Newlands in Cape Town.

The visiting team opened the match scoring 284 runs, all out in the 1st innings and looked to have dashed SA's hopes of winning the 1st of the 2 test series by dismissing the hosts for just 96 runs. Just when the Aussies had it in the bag, the match was turned on its head once again, this time, Australia were bowled out for 47 runs, at 1 point being 21 for 9 facing the lowest test score in history but thanks to a last wicket partnership the Aussies avoided some unwanted records.

South Africa returned to the crease and ended the day in control with Hashim Amla and Graeme Smith between the wickets and went on to beat the tourists by 8 wickets on the 3rd day of the test.

In a day where records tumbled, 23 wickets fell and both teams were dismissed for under 100 runs, this was just the second day in test history that all four innings flowed onto the same day.

About World Sport Bloopers

World Sport Bloopers was created following the frustration of using video sites. Many offered videos that were filed under 'funny' or 'humor' but were not specific to sport. It required a lot of searching to find what we wanted. Even when you found the video, it was often edited poorly or inserted in a news segment so it had less impact.

World Sport Bloopers is inspired by UK shows like Fantasy Football (hosted by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner), the eccentric Frenchman Remi Gaillard and US shows like Jackass. We aim to bring you the best bloopers, fails and WTF moments. We hope you enjoy the site!!
